The MPB team includes CPAs, staff accountants, and bookkeepers. Our team has many years of experience supporting individuals and businesses.

Kevin M. Brunelle

Kevin graduated from Colby College in 2003 with a degree in Economics. Prior to joining Milliken, Perkins & Brunelle, Kevin worked for Dawson, Smith, Purvis & Bassett in Portland for approximately six years where he earned his CPA license in 2010. Kevin specializes in business consulting to clients in various industries as well as tax planning and compliance services. He is passionate about learning the intricacies of the tax law so he can help his clients lower their taxes and build wealth. Kevin especially enjoys helping small Maine business owners and entrepreneurs grow their enterprises. Kevin lives in Falmouth with his wife Kate and his three daughters – Sydney, Brooke, and Charlotte. He enjoys spending time with his young family as well as watching all of New England’s sports teams.

Sharon L. Perkins

Following in the footsteps of her father, Elwood R. Milliken (founder of Milliken, Perkins & Company), Sharon entered the accounting profession in 1993 working part time during tax seasons while she and Aaron raised their two children. In 2002, Sharon obtained her CPA license and joined the company on a full time basis to assist Aaron upon her father’s retirement. Now happy to be a part of the Milliken, Perkins and Brunelle team, she specializes in the bookkeeping and individual tax preparation aspects of the business. Her accounting passion is household finances and budgeting. Outside the office, Sharon enjoys serving in her local church in the choir and nursery, and being the secretary of the Maine Association of Professional Accountants. Her greatest joy in life is spending time with her grandsons, Ryan and Alex, daughter Valerie, son- in -law Steve and son Joel.

Aaron E. Perkins

Aaron began his career as an accountant more than 30 years ago, after graduation from the University of Southern Maine, and obtained his CPA license shortly thereafter. He became the owner of his own accounting firm in 1993 and obtained his Master of Science in Taxation in 2007. Thrilled now to be an employee of Milliken, Perkins & Brunelle, he continues to serve his clients with passion and expertise, finding much satisfaction when problems with federal and state taxing authorities are resolved in his client’s favor. Aaron also enjoys his current role teaching graduate accounting students as a member of the adjunct faculty of St. Joseph’s College of Maine, where he has taught for over a dozen years. He is past president and current board member of the Maine Association of Professional Accountants, and served as treasurer of East Limington Baptist Church for many years. In his free time, Aaron is an avid reader, a baseball fan in general (a Red Sox fan in particular), and enjoys many other interests.

Kathy Peare

Kathy has over 30 years experience as a bookkeeper and enjoys being a part of the Milliken, Perkins & Brunelle team greeting clients and helping them with their paperwork. She has a knack for taking a tangle of papers and getting them in order for tax preparation. Her spare time is spent with her husband Scott and dog, Conan. She loves to visit antique shops and yard sales and of course solve puzzles, especially Suduko puzzles.

Nate graduated from Husson University with a B.S. in Communications in 2005, adding an A.S. in Accounting in 2016.  Nate joined the Milliken, Perkins & Brunelle team in 2016 doing bookkeeping, taxes, payroll, etc.  Outside of the office, Nate is very active with the Greater Windham Business Exchange, works part-time as a mobile event DJ, and most of all, enjoys relaxing at home with his wife, Kara, and their eight (EIGHT!!) cats.

Alise graduated from the University of Maine at Orono with a M.A. in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2014, later earning a Certificate in Accounting from the University of Maine at Augusta in 2017. She joined the Milliken, Perkins & Brunelle team in 2019 and continued her education to become a CPA. Outside the office, her favorite pastimes include spending time with her husband, Andrew, reading, cooking (particularly desserts), and enjoying time on the lake.

Kristi joined the Milliken, Perkins, & Brunelle team in 2018 doing bookkeeping, payroll, taxes, etc. Outside the office, Kristi enjoys spending time with her husband and children. She enjoys hiking and relaxing on the lake, serving in her local church as missionary treasurer and nursery coordinator. She is also a birth doula.

Rick attended Boston College and Boston University and started his career with a Boston CPA firm where he obtained his license to practice as a CPA. After he left public practice,he worked for a computer company for ten years in a variety of accounting and finance roles. In 1986,he and his wife Anne and two young children,Matthew and Sarah, moved to Rangeley where he established his CPA firm which later included an office in Farmington. He has served small businesses,non-profit organizations and individuals in the Franklin county area. Rick has been active in the community and has served the town as a member of the planning board, budget committee,town treasurer and school board. He has also served on a number of non-profit boards including the Rangeley Chamber of Commerce,Franklin Memorial Hospital and the Rangeley Rotary Club where he has been treasurer for over 30 years. He was also a founding member of the Lakeside Youth Theater which built and operated the movie theater in downtown Rangeley and has served on the Board of Directors of Franklin Savings Bank ,where he is currently the chairman. He looks forward to assisting Kevin with the transition and having more time for golf and travel with Anne. He might even start skiing again.

Brianna graduated from University of Maine Orono in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Ecology. Following graduation she went to Alaska to work for the United States Fish and Wildlife Service monitoring the native salmon population. In 2018 she moved to Rangeley and worked in banking for two years. She is currently working towards her Accounting Certification through the University of Southern Maine. During her spare time Brianna enjoys hiking, hunting and fishing. Brianna currently resides in Rangeley with her husband Walker and their yellow lab Waylon.

Scott has 20 years experience in customer service. He switched gears and took a course at Portland Adult Education in Accounting. He joined the Milliken, Perkins & Brunelle Team in 2022 doing bookkeeping, payroll, & taxes. Outside the office Scott enjoys movies, video games and spending time with his family & friends, wife Kathy and their dog Conan.

Sarah graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 2005 with a Bachelors in Fine Arts. After spending approximately ten years being self-employed, she decided to try something new and enrolled in an online accounting program. She earned an A.S. in Accounting in 2019 from Saint Josephs and joined Milliken, Perkins & Brunelle in 2020. When not working she enjoys spending time at home with her daughter and four cats (which compared to Nate’s eight cats, isn’t so bad). They like to have adventures outdoors in all of Maine’s seasons, especially enjoying skiing at Saddleback, and spending time at the lake in the summer. Maybe they’ll even get Rick to join them on the slopes this year!
